Beesi Saathi (“the app”, “we”, “us”) helps a group of trusted people organize a rotating savings scheme (a “Beesi”, “Bisi”, or committee fund). This policy explains what information the app and this website collect, why, and how you can control it.
Beesi Saathi does not process, hold, or transfer money. It is a record-keeping and coordination tool — actual cash/UPI payments between members happen outside the app.
Information we collect
Account information. To sign in, we collect a phone number (verified by SMS OTP), or an email address and password, or your name/email/profile photo if you choose Google Sign-In.
Profile information. Your display name and, optionally, a phone number and profile photo you add.
Group and member data. Group names, contribution amounts, round schedules, and the members you add to a group — each member’s name, phone number, and an optional photo. If you add a member from your device’s contacts, only that specific contact’s name and phone number are copied into the group; the app does not read, upload, or store your full contacts list.
Payment records. Amounts you record as paid or owed for each round, entered by the group’s admin. We do not collect or process real payment/bank/UPI credentials — this is a manual ledger, not a payment gateway.
Device and diagnostic data. Standard technical data from our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase), such as crash logs and basic connection info, used only to keep the service running.
How we use this information
- To operate your account and groups, run the random/manual draw for each round, and keep your data in sync across your devices.
- To send you local reminder notifications for upcoming or overdue payments (these are generated and shown entirely on your own device).
- To provide support when you contact us.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising — the app shows no ads and includes no ad or tracking SDKs.
Where your data is stored
App data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore Database, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions), operating under Google’s Privacy Policy and Firebase’s own terms. Every group is scoped to the admin’s account — only the signed-in admin who created a group can read or write its data, enforced by server-side security rules, not just app-level checks.
Your choices
- You can edit or remove a member’s details (name, phone, photo) at any point before that group’s first round is drawn.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see our Account & Data Deletion page for how.
- You can turn payment-reminder notifications off from the app’s Profile tab.
This website’s analytics
This website (not the app) uses a self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics tool (Plausible) to see aggregate visit counts. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information.
Children’s privacy
Beesi Saathi is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
